OCTOBER 16th - 17th

DATES: Wednesday October 16th - Thursday October 17th.
TOURNAMENT HOURS: Day 1- 7:00 am to 4:00 pm; Day 2- 7:00 to 1:00 pm
ENTRY FEE: $120.00/ per boat, with optional $40.00 Big Bass. Entry fee includes attendance
prizes for all participants.
ENTRY FEE DEADLINE: Entries will be accepted by mail until October 11th. Late entries will
be accepted at the pre tournament meeting on Tuesday October 15th, at an additional $20.00
per boat.
QUALIFICATIONS: To be eligible, 1 active, retired firefighter or support personnel (dispatcher,
EMTs etc,) required per boat. NO NON-LOCAL 2665 MEMBER WILL BE ALLOWED TO
ENTER WHO HAS EARNED $3000.00 IN GUIDE FEES OR TOURNAMENT WINNINGS IN
THE PAST YEAR (2023).
FORMAT: Buddy tournament ( Only 2 fishermen per boat.) 100% Cash Payouts and Prizes.
1 PLACE PAID OUT FOR EVERY 5 ENTRIES (e.g. 30 boats-PAYS OUT 6 PLACES)
ACCOMMODATIONS: Alhonna Resort has many rooms to choose from, you are responsible
for your own room. Covered boat slips are provided with each room. MAKE YOUR OWN
RESERVATIONS.
PRE TOURNAMENT MEETING: Tuesday October 15th @ 7:00 pm, in the Blue Cat Lounge.
The tournament committee will be appointed during this meeting. (Meeting Mandatory by at least 1 team member!) Contact us if you are
absolutely unable to attend!
LOCATIONS: Fishing is permitted anywhere on the tournament waters
available to the public and accessible by boat, except areas designated as
“off limits” or “no fishing” by the Corp of Engineers, local, state, or federal
officials. You cannot fish within 50 yards of a contestant's anchored boat
with trolling motor up, without their approval. Contestants may not depart
the boat to land fish or to make the boat more accessible to fishing waters.
P.B. 2 access, behind the no wake buoys is OFF LIMITS! Any additional off
limits will be announced at the pre-meeting prior to take-off.
LIMITS, PENALTIES, & SCORING: : Largemouth, Smallmouth, & Kentucky (spotted) bass
will be scored. There will be a five (5) fish limit. A short fish will result in a one (1) pound
penalty plus the loss of the fish. A dead fish will result in a one (1) pound penalty per
fish. If the dead fish is weighed in for Big Bass, the (1) pound will be deducted from that
fish. No more than five (5) fish are allowed in a live well at any time, unless it is during
the culling process. Kentucky/ Spotted Bass may be the twelve (12) inch lake limit. Total
weight per boat will determine place. A courtesy board will be available to all contestants prior
to submitting fish at weigh-in. ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE REQUIRED TO RELEASE THEIR
FISH AT WEIGH-IN SITE, NO EXCEPTIONS. LATE PENALTY: Anglers must check-in to
the designated check-in site by official designated time. Failure to do so will result in a
one pound penalty per minute late, up to ten (10) minutes, then disqualification.
TACKLE and EQUIPMENT: Only artificial lures and baits may be used. All bass must be
caught alive on a rod and reel. Only one rod and reel is allowed to be used at any time by
any one angler. Snagging bass off of spawning beds is prohibited. All bass caught off of
spawning beds must be hooked inside the mouth. Alabama Rigs are allowed (max of 3
hooked baits at Lake of the Ozarks) Trolling is not permitted. Safe boating must be
observed at all times. Each participant is recommended to wear a life vest and to have
kill switches on their boats, trailering of boats is not permitted. All Missouri
Conservation and Missouri water patrol regulations apply. Baiting Holes/Brushpiles: Any
contestant KNOWINGLY baiting a specific hole/brush pile prior to fishing the tournament,
or KNOWINGLY having an outside source bait a specific hole/brush pile prior to fishing
the tournament, to gain an edge on the competition day, may face disqualification from
that event and any future events.
PROTEST: All protests must be submitted in writing to the Tournament Director within
(10) minutes of the official closing of the scales. The appointed Tournament Advisory
Board will handle all protests. The decision of the Tournament Director shall be final in
all matters.
KNOWLEDGE OF THESE RULES IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EACH CONTESTANT:
Failure to read these rules or ignorance of them is no excuse. The Director reserves the
right to reject any entry if he feels that it is not in the best interest of the Roark Classic.
Any announcements made by the Director at the tournament site take precedent over
written rules. All of the above rules and any disputes will be interpreted solely by the
appointed Tournament Committee and Tournament Director. All decisions are final.
